A place where everyday life feels a little further away and the things that really matter feel a little closer. With honest, homemade food. People you enjoy spending time with. The sun on your face. The lake in front of you. And time that, for a moment, simply doesn’t matter.

OUR KITCHEN
Many of our ingredients and products come directly from where we live: our own farm. We use them to prepare the kind of food that, for us, simply belongs in an Alpine hut – honest, homemade and made with plenty of love for everything that grows and is produced around us. Many of our dishes are tried-and-tested family recipes, from hearty Alpine specialities to our popular Kaiserschmarren with wild blueberries.

THE BEST SPOT
Just a few steps separate our hut from Lake Duisitzkarsee. In between, you’ll find our cosy lakeside terrace – the perfect place for sunny hours, delicious Alpine food and mountain views that never fail to impress. And yes, you can of course take a dip in the cold lake too. Especially on hot summer days, it’s an absolute treat!
HUT LIFE
The Fahrlechhütte has grown and evolved over many years – and you can still feel that today. Lively, down-to-earth and deeply connected to life on the Alpine pastures.
This is a place where people cook and work, hike and sit together. Animals graze in the meadows, people come and go – but they all have one thing in common: they feel at home here. And that’s exactly what makes this place so special to us.
WHEN THE LAKE GROWS QUIET
When the last hikers slowly make their way back down into the valley, a very special time begins at Lake Duisitzkarsee. The light disappears behind the mountains, conversations grow quieter and a peaceful calm settles over the lake.
If you’d like to enjoy this moment a little longer, simply stay the night. Our hut offers 16 sleeping places – simple, uncomplicated and with everything you need for a night up here.
